Micron Technology shares were about 24% below their all-time high after falling 5. 6% on Oct. 16 during a broader technology sell-off.
The company also reported product progress tied to high-performance memory and storage. It began sampling 512GB DDR5 server modules capable of speeds up to 9,200 MT/s, completed customer qualifications for 8,800 MT/s server modules, began shipping high-performance SSDs for cache applications, and secured design wins with every tier-one original-equipment manufacturer for AI workstations.
Memory supply remains central to the outlook. The company said high-bandwidth memory shipments for AI data centers should grow faster than conventional DRAM, while new manufacturing capacity will take years to produce chips.
The market’s response has been less certain than the operating results. The latest decline came as nearly all technology stocks in the S&P 500 fell and investors questioned how long companies can sustain heavy borrowing and spending on AI infrastructure. For Micron, the contrast leaves the 2030 return scenarios dependent on continued demand, pricing and supply conditions rather than on the record fiscal 2026 results alone.
