The launch is the first major integration since Mastercard completed its acquisition of BVNK in August.
The platform’s central feature is a multi-currency account where fiat and stablecoin balances can be held side by side and converted in real time. Companies can embed the accounts under their own brands, issue cards linked to stablecoin balances, manage treasury and settlement activity, and send funds to local bank accounts through Mastercard Move.
Mastercard says Move reaches more than 17 billion endpoints. Coverage is expected to expand to more than 40 currencies across more than 200 countries and territories in 2027. Stablecoin balances can also be spent through Mastercard’s merchant acceptance network, while card issuing is available in more than 130 countries.
Nuvei and Marqeta are among the first companies expected to integrate the platform, alongside Ontop, Bolt Group and Almond FinTech. The companies can add capabilities such as holding, converting, sending, receiving and spending money through one infrastructure layer instead of connecting separate providers for each function.
The combined business is positioning the platform for cross-border business payments, payouts, settlement and treasury flows, with future support planned for agentic commerce and additional regulated forms of money such as tokenized deposits. Global Money Platform is available through BVNK.
