San Francisco-based AIsa has completed a seed extension round that brings its total funding above $9 million, with Tether and HIVEN joining as strategic investors. They join existing backers including Alibaba, Tribe Capital, Sumitomo Corporation, Draper Associates and Saison Capital. The companies did not disclose the size of the extension or AIsa’s valuation.
AIsa is developing infrastructure for enterprise AI agents to find and use external data, models, APIs, software tools and industry services through a unified interface. Its system combines resource access with usage metering, billing and settlement, while allowing businesses to set permissions, budgets, spending limits, approval workflows and audit trails.
The company said the platform is intended to address the fragmented provider accounts, integrations and payment systems that can make it difficult to deploy agents in production. Tether said AIsa allows agents to obtain and pay for data, software and computing services through one platform, with usage billed in fiat or stablecoins and spending limits controlled by businesses.
AIsa founder and CEO Jordan Liu said the company aims to let agents discover, access and pay for resources globally while keeping enterprises in control of permissions, spending and transactions. AIsa also said it has begun pilot programs with enterprises in financial intelligence, market research, supply-chain management and commerce.
That round was co-led by Alibaba and Tribe Capital and was earmarked for engineering, payment infrastructure, additional models and data providers, and stablecoin settlement capabilities.
Tether described the investment as part of its broader push into AI-linked payments and programmable money. It follows Tether’s investment in NEURA Robotics, where the companies said Tether’s Wallet Development Kit and QVAC could support machines that run AI locally and transact within preset limits.
AIsa said it plans to expand its resource network, strengthen enterprise governance and scale its transaction infrastructure. Tether separately said AIsa’s platform reports more than 250,000 agents and over 100 million processed transactions, although the announcement did not provide an independently audited breakdown of those figures.
