Equinox Gold produced 237,019 ounces of gold in the third quarter, a 34% increase from the previous quarter, after completing its combination with Orla Mining on July 31. Gold sales rose to 248,484 ounces from 177,959 ounces. The figures include two months of production from Orla’s Musselwhite mine in Ontario and Camino Rojo operation in Mexico.
Equinox produced 611,483 ounces in the first nine months of 2026 and maintained full-year guidance of 870,000 to 920,000 ounces. Reaching that range would require roughly 258,500 to 308,500 ounces in the fourth quarter. The company said stronger output from Valentine and Greenstone is expected through the rest of 2026 and into 2027, while its combined portfolio has a pro forma annual production capacity of about 1. 1 million ounces.
The merger also expanded Equinox’s development pipeline. In Nevada, the South Railroad project received a federal Record of Decision in August, completing the federal permitting process under the National Environmental Policy Act and allowing early construction to begin. The open-pit heap-leach project is expected to produce an average of 130,000 ounces annually during its first five years and more than 100,000 ounces annually over an initial 10-year mine life, based on a 2026 feasibility study.
