China’s A100 rental market splits as a single low-cost listing drags Yangtze Delta floor to 34,000 yuan

China’s A100 rental market splits as a single low-cost listing drags Yangtze Delta floor to 34,000 yuan

The high end held at 40,000 yuan.

The move was isolated within a broader set of 19 market indices: 18 were unchanged. The low-end decline came after the A100 index had posted catch-up gains the previous Friday and moved below its earlier low. The sharper fall in the cheapest tier compared with the average indicates that pressure was concentrated among a limited group of low-priced supplies rather than spread across the full range.

A Jiangsu data center offered one A100-80G full-server unit for near-term delivery at 34,000 yuan per month, exclusively to an end user. Comparable channel quotations were generally 35,000 to 36,000 yuan, putting the single-unit offer roughly 3% to 6% below those levels. The limited availability and direct-to-user condition point to a scattered supply release rather than a broad repricing of the market.

The latest reading contrasts with earlier A100 listings that also showed demand for high-bandwidth, multi-server training capacity. In August, two interconnect-networked A100-80G servers in southern China were offered at 35,000 yuan per unit per month under a minimum one-year lease.

Bids from one buyer for RTX 5090 fan cards rose from 50,500 yuan to 51,500 yuan per card between Oct. 10 and Oct. The effect of higher purchase prices on the return of existing cards to the rental market remains unverified because trading volumes, supply sources and available rental inventory were not established.

That was 14. 7% below the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei index floor of 17,000 yuan and below a 15,000-yuan sample from late September. Four units each of 910B4 and 910B3 from the same channel were offered at 20,000 yuan per month, about 27% more than the new release.

One RTX 4090 in northwestern China was also offered at 7,000 yuan per unit per month, matching the lowest recorded Yangtze River Delta price. Because only one unit was available and lease, deposit, payment and networking terms were unspecified, the listing does not establish a regional market level. The immediate question for the A100 market is whether more scattered low-priced units will reach the average tier; the current figures do not yet show that broader shift.
