Meidong to Join November Lead-Acid Battery Supply Chain Conference in Ho Chi Minh City

Meidong to Join November Lead-Acid Battery Supply Chain Conference in Ho Chi Minh City

The event is planned as a meeting point for companies involved in lead mining, primary and recycled lead, battery manufacturing, equipment and auxiliary materials. Its stated agenda covers industrial policy, market conditions, battery technology, recycling and supply-chain cooperation.

The conference program is divided into lead-acid battery, price and market, smelter and recycling sessions. Organizers say the event will examine raw-material supply, trade compliance, environmental standards, technology upgrades, supply-chain security and cost management. The official event page lists Ho Chi Minh City as the venue and describes the gathering as a platform for industry experts and companies to discuss challenges, market trends and sustainable-development strategies.

The meeting follows a 2025 regional conference in the same city that brought together ore suppliers, battery manufacturers, end users and other participants. That earlier program addressed secondary-lead competition, recycling in Japan and India, electric two-wheelers, lead prices, battery technology and Vietnam’s secondary-lead industry. It also included panels on supply-chain resilience and the environmental restructuring of the lead-acid battery chain, providing a model for the broader international focus planned for 2026.

Meidong, founded in 2016 and based in Zibo, Shandong, supplies functional materials and technical services for lead-acid and lead-carbon batteries. Its listed products include modified lignin, humic acid, barium sulfate, conductive and acetylene carbon black, activated carbon, hard carbon, graphite, red lead, antimony trioxide, stannous sulfate and battery fibers. The company says it serves domestic and overseas battery manufacturers, with exports to Southeast Asia.

The company also describes an independent laboratory equipped for battery-cycle testing and says it monitors iron content, chloride ions, specific surface area and oil absorption. Its product and formulation portfolio is organized around starter batteries, traction batteries, UPS systems and photovoltaic energy storage.

The conference’s Southeast Asian setting reflects the event’s stated emphasis on regional supply chains and Vietnam’s role in lead smelting, battery production and recycling. The official program identifies more than 20 exhibitors and sessions on battery markets, smelting and recycling; the next step for participants is registration and attendance at the November meeting, where the organizers intend to connect suppliers, manufacturers and technology providers across the lead-battery chain.
